LCK 2025: Day Two Weaknesses Lead to Brutal Losses

The second day of the LCK was over significantly faster than the first. All four teams participating today had breaks during international competition, so expectations were that all would see improvements. In many regards, it seemed like there was no break for these teams. The same issues and strengths were apparent. DN Freecs faced off against BNK FearX, while KT Rolster battled Nongshim Redforce.

Initial Expectation

DNF 1-2 BFX

Result

DNF 0-2 BFX

Series Summary

DNF held significant leads in both games. However, team fighting mistakes and players in the wrong positions caused their downfall. Pyosik’s woes continued as he was often the reason why DNF lost their lead. While he did not always end up dying, his mistakes led to his team’s deaths. VicLa remains a concern for BFX. He can not keep up in games. He often dies out of position and was also behind in CS and experience. No player stood out during the series, with everyone having their share of mistakes. BFX performed better during the clutch moments.

Series Ratings

DNF

  • DuDu – 5.5
  • Pyosik – 3.5
  • BuLLdoG – 6
  • Beserker – 4.5
  • Life – 6

BFX

  • Clear – 6
  • Raptor – 4.5
  • VicLa – 2.5
  • Diable – 5
  • Kellin – 5

Player of the Series – Clear (Winning team)

LCK 2025: KT Rolster Versus Nongshim Redforce

Initial Expectation

KT 2-1 NS

Result

KT 2-0 NS

Series Summary

KT may have struggled in the early days of LCK, but has since made a resurgence. They are performing as one of the best teams in the LCK. Their matches against Hanwha Life Esports and T1 will confirm their positioning. For this series, except for the top lane, everyone outperformed their counterpart. Bdd was outstanding, always finding the crucial plays for his team. Following him was Cuzz, who had his mishaps, but overall dominated the rift. On the side of NS, Jiwoo struggled immensely. He died often in game one on Senna in bad positions, and did not contribute in game two. If NS wants to contest the other teams in this group, Jiwoo must regain his form.

Series Ratings

KT

  • PerfecT – 4.5
  • Cuzz – 8
  • Bdd – 9
  • Deokdam – 7
  • Peter – 6.5

NS

  • Kingen – 6.5
  • Gideon – 4.5
  • Calix – 5
  • Jiwoo – 2
  • Lehends – 4.5
