Hot and humid weather conditions will persist in Greater Cincinnati, with increased shower and storm activity returning by mid-week.

It will be a hot and humid day on Aug. 11, according to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington. Shower and storm chances remain fairly low, but some isolated pockets of heavy rain will be possible into the evening.

Some scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms will also be possible in Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. Otherwise, expect sunny skies with highs near 94.

Any afternoon storms will fade away after sunset, as lows will drop to near 70 under mostly clear skies. Patchy river valley fog may occur.

Storm chances will increase on Aug. 12. Isolated pockets of heavy rain are also forecast for Tuesday afternoon. Some showers and storms will continue into the night.

A weak cold front will cross the area on Aug. 13, with renewed convection developing ahead of it. A brief drop in temperatures and dew points is also forecast during the second half of the week. Then, the potential for isolated daily convection will return.
