Crowds partied the weekend away as they braved the rain to enjoy a two-day extravaganza with live acts and attractions at Braywick Sports Ground.
The Maidenhead Big Weekender by A&L Events kicked off on Saturday afternoon, and while the weather may have been unsettled that did not stop people bringing along their chairs and gazebos and setting up in front of the main stage, ready for the music.
Stalls offering up everything from face painting to toys, clothing items and plenty of food and drink lined the field.
Some of these included Smithy’s Slush Bar, stalls selling wooden ornaments and framed art, R12 Botanical, The Bug Store, Treats, Pick n’ Mix, Naan and Sizzle, Surf’n’Fries, Dutch Mini Pancakes, My Big Fat Greek, Burgers, Brisket and Fries and fresh lemonade.
Community groups were also joining in the fun with stalls at the event.
The Maidenhead Drama Guild were in character promoting Robin Hood and Stand Out For Autism had brought along their sensory bus to offer families sensory sessions.
Fostering South East had a stall at the event and Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club hosted a human fruit machine and a raffle for good causes with plenty of prizes to be won.
There was plenty of Pimms and drinks to enjoy from the bar and Surrey Ices ice cream van was on hand to provide some refreshing treats.
Acts including Albie Salter and dance group Dance Inspired brought the fun to the main stage on Saturday.
Jonny Walker was leading a Random & Rocks Kids Party where youngsters got the chance get involved with some dancing.Â
The Courtland Stories performed several covers including of Vance Joy’s Riptide and Mumford & Sons I will Wait.
The rain had returned for a short period during the afternoon, but crowds were still by the main stage singing along as the band covered Sweet Caroline.
Later on, people gathered around the stage as an Eminem tribute act performed a range of popular tracks including Business and Mockingbird.
Later in the evening, guests were also entertained by rock band Hudson’s Choice and Little Mix tribute band LMXT.
The fun continued on Sunday afternoon as The Blend Choir took to the main stage and was followed by the Random & Rocks Kids Party.
Visitors enjoyed music from The Julia Set and The Hitmen and the Bhangra Smash Up entertained with some Dhol drumming.Â
A conga line also made its way around the site.
The evening’s entertainment saw Harry Styles tribute Harry Stylish and Robbie Williams tribute Robbing Williams perform some fan favourites.
Families were enjoying train rides around the site on the Maidenhead Lions fun train on both days.Â
Guests also relaxed on the beach deck chairs by the giant sandpit.
Meanwhile, youngsters enjoyed bungee trampolining and were treated to a bouncy castle.
Fairground rides from Traylens were busy throughout the weekend.Â
