Demi Moore is making memories with her granddaughter in the garden.
The actress, 62, was photographed spending time outside with her 2-year-old granddaughter, Louetta, whom Moore’s daughter Rumer Willis shares with ex Derek Richard Thomas, as they tended to Moore’s garden. In one sweet photo, the star and her granddaughter were side by side as Moore bent down, placing a hand in the soil.
Louetta looked up into the camera, standing between the arms of her “yaya” for the photo. In another shot, the two tucked soil around the flowers.
“Never a dull day in the garden 🌼🌱,” Moore wrote in her caption.

Speaking with PEOPLE in May, Rumer opened up about the relationship her daughter Louetta has with grandpa Bruce Willis and her yaya, Moore.
“My mom, she’s Yaya to Lou. She’s the one who brought in the contraband of Moana and Disney because I was like, ‘We don’t watch TV in this house. We don’t ever. Not until she’s 5.’ And then I went over and Moana was on. I was like, ‘Come on!’ ” she told PEOPLE. “But they love each other. I mean, you should see her face light up when they’re on FaceTime when we’re away.”
“She just gets so excited and it’s sweet, and my mom is so incredible with babies. She always has been, and so it’s such a delight to see them together,” she continued. “They’re so silly and wonderful.”
And although Rumer’s dad Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2022, she said he doesn’t miss a moment with his granddaughter. In fact, Rumer told PEOPLE the proud grandpa “gets so excited” when he sees the little one.
“Even with my dad, given the challenges that he’s dealing with, whenever we go over there to visit, his face just lights up and he gets so excited and is so sweet with her,” she said. “My family is so incredible with her. I feel so lucky, and she’s so lucky. I mean, they are obsessed with her.”
Since becoming a mother to Louetta in April 2023, Rumer told PEOPLE that her appreciation for her own mother has deepened.
“My appreciation for my mom, has always been there, but I think inherently [and] inevitably, it has to just deepen. And I also think the way that you love your child just reminds you, ‘Oh wow, my mom, that’s how she loves me,’ ” she said, referring to her relationship with Moore. “I think it’s just made us so much closer.”
“Watching Louetta get hurt, whether she’s sick or going through an emotional, is one of the most excruciating things,” she added, saying motherhood has made her look back at the times in her own life where she’s been hurting and imagine how her mother felt watching her go through it. “I just have such appreciation and deep love, and I think it’s made us so much closer in a way that’s been so beautiful.”
