The 2025 Kentucky Derby, a historic event for horse racing enthusiasts, has arrived at the prestigious Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Now, we await to see which of the field of 19 horses will be adorned with the garland of roses.
In the fiercely competitive lineup for the 151st Run for the Roses, Journalism emerges as the early favorite with odds of 4-1. Trained by Michael McCarthy, Journalism enters the Kentucky Derby on a streak of four consecutive wins, closely followed by Sandman with odds of 5-1. Also in the lineup is Luxor Cafe, the son of the 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. Despite being considered a long shot with odds of 15-1, his prestigious bloodline is certain to draw attention. It’s worth noting that only 13 horses have ever won the Triple Crown.
