Amazon Prime Video’s The Better Sister has officially unseated Uncharted from its spot on the streaming charts.

Per FlixPatrol, The Better Sister has made its way to the number six spot on the chart for the top streaming series on Amazon Prime Video. Better yet, it has made it to the seventh place spot on the list of top ten overall streaming programs on the platform, knocking 2022’s Uncharted starring Tom Holland down a spot and leaving it just barely ahead of political thriller The Chosen and the fan-favorite sci-fi series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Created by Olivia Milch and based on the novel of the same name by Alafair Burke, The Better Sister stars Jesica Biel and Elizabeth Banks as Chloe Taylor and Nicky Macintosh, two estranged sisters with some particularly painful tensions between them. While the older Nicky has spiraled into alcoholism following her divorce from Corey Stoll’s Adam, Chloe has excelled in both her professional and personal lives thanks to her day job as the editor-in-chief of The Real Thing magazine and her loving marriage to her sister’s ex-husband. When Adam is murdered, the sisters are drawn back into one another’s lives.

Alongside Biel and Banks, The Better Sister stars Kim Dickens as Detective Nancy Guidry, Bobby Naderi as Detective Matt Bowen, and Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nicky and Adam’s son, Ethan. The series’ core cast also stars Matthew Modine as Bill Braddock, Lorraine Toussaint as Catherine Lancaster, Gloria Reuben as Michelle Sanders, Paul Sparks as Ken, and Frank Pando as Edward Olivero. The Better Sister premiered to fairly strong reviews from critics and audiences alike, earning it a 70% “Fresh” rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Based on the hit Naughty Dog video game series of the same name, 2022’s Uncharted starred Tom Holland as the iconic adventurer Nathan Drake alongside an ensemble cast including Mark Wahlberg, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas. The film was widely panned by critics upon its release, yet managed to bring in more than $407 million against a $120 million budget during its theatrical run. In June 2024, Sony confirmed that a sequel to Uncharted was in the works at the studio, although it was not confirmed whether the original film’s leading stars would be returning for the project.
