Michael J. Fox, Wife Tracy Pollan Celebrate 37th Wedding Anniversary

Tracy Pollan and Michael J. Fox are celebrating their love — all 37 years of it!

The actress and cookbook author, 65, and Back to the Future star, 64, celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 16. As they tend to do each year, the stars both marked the milestone with sweet tributes to each other.

“37… but who’s counting? Love you, T.❤️,” Fox wrote on Instagram alongside a throwback photo of the couple, their arms wrapped tightly around each other.

Pollan, meanwhile, shared a carousel of three pictures of the pair over the years, with them posing side-by-side in each one.

“Happy anniversary baby! Love you so ❤️❤️❤️,” she captioned the tribute post, which Fox acknowledged in the comments, writing: “Right back at you sweetheart! Happy Anniversary, I love you forever.”

The Back to the Future alum’s anniversary Instagram post is his second in a row about his longtime love. In June, he celebrated Pollan’s birthday with a photo of the actress posing in front of a sign that reads, “Sparkles follow her wherever she goes.”

He echoed the sign in the caption of the birthday tribute, writing, “Sparkles follow her wherever she goes…and so do I. Happy birthday @tracy.pollan I love you forever.”

Before they became one of the most enduring romances in Hollywood, Fox and Pollan were just two young actors trying to make it.

The stars first crossed paths in 1985 when they were cast as each other’s love interests on Family Ties. During their time on the NBC sitcom, the now-couple’s off-screen relationship remained platonic as they were both dating other people at the time.

Sparks didn’t fly between the Family Ties actors until a few years later, when they reunited on-screen in Bright Lights, Big City. Within seven months, Fox proposed, and in the summer of 1988, the couple said “I do.” They’ve been together ever since, and have faced Fox’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s together.

The couple shares four kids: Sam, 36, twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, 30, and Esmé, 23. While celebrating Father’s Day in June, Pollan dubbed her longtime love “the best in the biz” alongside a rare family photo.

“You’ve been slaying this dad thing since day one!” the cookbook author captioned the family snap. “Happy Father’s Day to the best in the biz, we love you ❤️.”

In October 2022, Fox and Pollan chatted with PEOPLE about the secret to their long-lasting love: giving each other the benefit of the doubt.

“We assume the best,” Pollan said at the time, and elaborated with an example. Should Fox be short with a response, the star said her “first assumption is not that he’s not being unkind to me. It’s that something else was going on. And he does the same [with] me.”

“It’s assuming the best from the person you live with until you are actually presented with the worst. And same with our parenting: It’s also how we are with our kids,” she continued, as Fox agreed: “It is all about acceptance.”
