New contacts between Bologna e Milan: Noah okafor (25) remains on the rossoblù radar. More than that, it is a concrete lead: also because yesterday Milan opened up to the loan for the Swiss player purchased in 2023 for 14 million. And if in January he was sold to Napoli on loan for 1,5 million with the right to buy at 23,5 million, now the overall price has dropped. If Bologna guaranteed the 14 million for which he was purchased, the Rossoneri would be ready to let him go. However, several non-secondary details remain to be defined: obligation or right to buy first and foremost. But there is also the contractual question: because Okafor at Rossoneri (contract expiring in 2028) earns around 2,5 million and his salary should be reduced, given that the ceiling at Bologna is set at 2 million. There is room for negotiation, but also for this reason Bologna has sounded out the waters for Vargas (26) from Sevilla, another Swiss international, after having received requests of over 20 million for Tziolis (23) and Lukebakio from Bruges and Sevilla.
Okafor remains one of the top prospects on the wish list should Dan Ndoye (who returned to action yesterday) depart. Napoli has offered €10 million for a loan deal, plus a €25 million obligation to buy and €5 million in bonuses, for a total of €40 million. The formula isn’t convincing, but Napoli has announced a new offer between the end of the weekend and the beginning of next week. If Bologna has received an open offer from Milan for Okafor’s loan, it’s because in Ndoye’s mind, Napoli remains top of the list. Bologna, however, requires a €50 million fee, including a fixed fee and bonuses. The deal will be finalized at the end of the training camp. United have yet to make any concrete moves for the Swiss, but Nottingham, after an initial €35 million (including bonuses) offer was rejected, are rumours of an imminent €47 million increase, including bonuses, for the Rossoblu, to whom the English club are offering a higher salary (€3,5 million, compared to €3 million for Napoli). It’s no coincidence that Napoli have been in contact with Chelsea in recent hours regarding Shakhtar’s Kevin and Sterling. Meanwhile, Bologna is holding back from interest (from Milan, Porto, and United) in Riccardo Orsolini, who confirms he won’t be pushing for a departure unless there are sensational offers: “It’s normal that I’ve received a few calls,” he told Sky Sport, “but I spoke to the club and we agreed not to think about it during this period because I just want to train, be with the team, and feel the affection of the fans. Unless there are sensational offers, I’ll stay.” And a sensational offer will be needed for Ndoye: unlike what happened with Orsolini, however, Bologna is continuing contacts for a possible replacement, a sign that things are at an advanced stage for the Swiss.
There are also serious concerns about Aebischer: Pisa’s inquiry has been followed by a concrete one from Sassuolo. Nicolussi Caviglia (24) remains at the top of the list of thoughts for a replacement, followed by Salvatore Esposito (24) from Spezia. However, keep an eye on the growing value of the Scotsman Lennon Miller (18) from Motherwell.
