Minor rain chances, pleasant temps

Winter has come and gone, despite holding on for as long as possible, which means Spring is finally here to stay! We are looking at spring conditions continuing with minor rain chances mixed in this weekend, next week and highs ranging from the 50s into the low-70s.

Today will be a mix of cloud coverage and sunshine depending on when you are outside. Temperatures will slowly rise into the low to mid-50s by this afternoon with a good breeze and chance for showers mixed in. Rain will be very spotty around the area with showers possible through the late morning and afternoon hours. Overall, we will not see a lot of accumulation in the area with these spotty showers, with totals expected to remain less than a tenth of an inch. Winds however, will be on the stronger side, reaching between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times possible. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a stray sprinkle or two possible as temperatures drop into the upper-30s by Friday morning. Winds are also projected to calm down by tonight.

Friday will then remain partly cloudy and pleasant. Temperatures will top out in the upper-50s and low-60s with winds reaching up to 10 mph at times. Friday night will continue to be partly cloudy as temperatures drop into the low-40s by Saturday morning.

Saturday will then teeter between partly cloudy and mostly cloudy with windy conditions returning to the area. Despite the increasing clouds, temperatures are projected to hover in the upper-60s and low-70s with winds reaching between 20 and 25 mph, gusts up to 40 mph at times possible. We are anticipating dry conditions aside from a stray shower possible after midnight as temperatures drop into the low to mid-50s by Sunday morning.

Sunday will then be mostly cloudy with some scattered showers throughout the late morning and early to mid-afternoon hours. Once again, despite the cloudy skies and added rain chances to the day, temperatures will be very warm for this time of the year with highs hovering in the low-70s. Winds will also remain breezy, ranging between 10 and 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times possible. A stray shower or two is possible overnight as temperatures drop into the low-40s by Monday morning.

Monday will then continue to be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers returning throughout the morning and early afternoon hours. From there, showers are anticipated to gradually clear up leaving behind gradual clearing in the skies for the remainder of the day. Temperatures will slowly rise into the low-50s by the afternoon hours as strong winds return to the area. Winds are anticipated to hover between 25 and 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph at times possible. Monday night will become mostly clear as temperatures drop into the low to mid-30s by Tuesday morning.

As of the current forecast period, we are not tracking any additional rain chances for next week beyond Monday. Skies will teeter between mostly sunny and partly cloudy at times. Temperatures Tuesday through Saturday of next weekend will range from the 50s into the upper-60s/low-70s. Winds will be more breezy than not next week, averaging between 10 and 20 mph with gusts between 25 and 30 mph. Overnight temperatures will be cool, dropping into the low to mid-40s by the following mornings.
