Last month, Jonathan — who is openly gay — was asked about his and Scarlett’s kisses. He said, “I believe in being able to show love in all different ways. And if you can’t kiss your friends…life’s too short not to.”

And now, Scarlett’s husband, Colin Jost, is addressing the kissing, too.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at a recent event, Colin quipped that the Jurassic World Rebirth press tour has been “fun,” though somewhat unexpected. He said, “[There’s been a] lot of Jurassic press things that you’re like, you didn’t expect this to be a story. But there’s a lot of stories coming out of it.”
The reporter then asked, “Like Jonathan Bailey? Your wife constantly kissing Jonathan Bailey?” — and Colin had the most hilarious response. “I guess in Jurassic Park terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought. Of all the threats out there, I wasn’t thinking it was Jonathan,” he said with a laugh.

The Saturday Night Live comic went on to note, “People really blow it out of proportion, when someone kisses their friend hello.”
“Jonathan’s an out gay man. It didn’t seem like the biggest threat,” he added before joking that he and Jonathan now need to kiss in order to “close the loop.”
Several fans — myself included — felt Colin’s response was pretty damn perfect. “That’s a confident partner right there!” read one popular TikTok comment with over 17,000 likes. “the world needs more colins,” someone else wrote.

“Colin is super chill, as I expected him to be, and it’s sadly refreshing to see a man not give off toxic vibes by being jealous or angry that their partner did this,” one user said on Reddit, while another person added, “They are such a solid couple…They both seem to have a great sense of humor and be madly in love with each other.”
