NASHVILLE (WKRC) – Authorities responded to a Walmart location after a Bravo TV reality star allegedly attacked another woman with a sock filled with rocks.
According to The Independent, 21-year-old Diamond Tankard, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was taken into custody after she allegedly attacked a woman at a self-checkout station with a sock full of rocks, before stealing a designer handbag and a mobile phone.
Tankard, the granddaughter of NBA athlete and gospel jazz musician Ben Tankard, rose to prominence after appearing in Bravo TV’s “Thicker Than Water,” which premiered in 2013.
Citing an affidavit, WSMV reported that the incident began when Tankard walked into a Walmart in Nashville on Friday, July 18. The affidavit reviewed by the outlet states that Tankard allegedly walked up from behind and grabbed the victim by her hair, with the victim’s grandmother later telling authorities that Tankard used the sock to strike the victim.
Tankard is accused of stealing the victim’s $900 Louis Vuitton handbag and her mobile phone after the attack, WSMV reported. The Walmart location reportedly provided police with video evidence of the alleged attack. Police said they noticed a laceration on the victim’s left eye on her forehead in connection to the incident, per WSMV.
The 21-year-old was taken into custody and charged with the following, according to WSMV:
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
According to the station, she was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
Tankard was previously charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly striking a woman intentionally with her vehicle in November of 2024, according to authorities.
The victim in that incident sustained critical injuries, police said in a release.
