The Rams on Saturday selected running back Jarquez Hunter in the fourth round of the NFL draft with the 117th pick.
The Rams traded up from the No. 127th pick and sent the Indianapolis Colts a sixth-round pick (No. 190).

Hunter, 5 feet, 9 inches and 204 pounds, was first team All-Southeastern Conference last season after rushing for 1,201 yards and eight touchdowns.

Hunter adds depth to a running back corps that includes Kyren Williams, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, second-year pro Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers.
“I’m a very North-to-South runner — downhill runner,” Hunter said during a videoconference with reporters. “I feel like I can catch the ball out of the backfield and pass protect.”

The Rams still have two picks in the sixth round and one in the seventh.

The Rams selected Ohio State defensive lineman Ty Hamilton in the fifth round with the 148th pick.
The Rams traded up from the No. 195th pick and also sent the Chicago Bears a 2026 fourth-round pick.
Hamilton, 6 feet, 3 inches and 299 pounds, started every game last season for the national-champion Buckeyes. He had 51 tackles, including six tackles for losses and 3 ½ sacks.
Hamilton adds depth to an interior line group that includes Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske and Poona Ford.

The Rams selected linebacker Chris Paul Jr. in the fifth round of the NFL draft with the 172nd pick.

They traded up from the 201st pick in the sixth round and also sent the Minnesota Vikings the 202nd pick.
Paul, 6 feet, 1 inch and 222 pounds, began his career at Arkansas but transferred to Mississippi last season. He had 88 tackles, including 11 for losses and 3 ½ sacks.
Paul is the first inside linebacker drafted by the Rams since Ernest Jones in 2021. He joins a position group that includes Omar Speights, Nathan Landman and Troy Reeder.
The Rams have one pick remaining in the seventh round.
