It’s been nine months since the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series and Walker Buehler has yet to receive his ring.
But that will change Friday when his former team visits his new team.
Buehler, who closed out the Dodgers’ Game 5 win over the New York Yankees in October, will get his ring this weekend when the Dodgers begin a three-game set with the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

But the pitcher doesn’t want an on-field ceremony. Buehler told the Dodgers to just hand it to him. He told The Boston Globe he believes Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and pitcher Clayton Kershaw will be the ones delivering the ring.
“I haven’t seen any of those guys in a long time, so it’ll be fun,” Buehler told the newspaper. “I told them I just want them to bring it over. I don’t want a whole thing.”
Buehler is set to pitch against his old team on Sunday, opposite of Dustin May.
The Red Sox signed Buehler to a one-year deal in December. It’s been a trying year for the right-hander, who’s 6-6 with a 5.72 ERA, though he’s shown signs of trending upward of late, including throwing seven innings against the Philadelphia Phillies last week,
