Red Sox vs. Twins lineups, preview, and notes


Brayan Bello will get the nod on Friday. The righthander worked six innings of three-run ball in his Sunday start against the Guardians, following up on a win over the Seattle Mariners in his season debut.

The Red Sox activated Connor Wong from the 10-day injured list and put him back in the lineup, batting seventh. The catcher had been out with a broken pinky finger since April 8.

Minnesota enters the series having dropped three in a row at Cleveland, the most recent a 4-3, 10-inning loss in which the Twins outhit the Guardians 13-6.

The Twins have allowed a total of 10 runs during their three-game skid. They will look to Joe Ryan as they try to turn it around at Fenway. The righthander struck out 11 in seven shutout innings in a win over the Angels on Sunday.
