KANSAS CITY — Mother Nature got in the way of Shane Bieber’s comeback from Tommy John surgery.
Bieber was scheduled to make a rehab start Sunday for Class AAA Columbus, but the game against Buffalo was rained out at Huntington Park in Columbus.
He is expected to pitch for one of Cleveland’s minor league affiliates on Tuesday. Columbus is probably not an option because the Clippers will be in Florida playing Jacksonville.
Bieber underwent surgery on his right elbow in April of 2024. He had one setback in May when he developed soreness in the elbow, but he is making progress this time.
