Today on Pinstripe Alley – 7/8/25

It’s always good to win the one before an off day. The Yankees had a miserable week, but at least they ended it with a win on Sunday, giving us two whole days to bask in the glory of Yankee victory. But the work starts back up today, and there has to be a sense of urgency, with the Yankees in danger of going into the All-Star Break staring at a non-trivial deficit in the AL East. They’ll face the Mariners tonight, with the excellent Logan Gilbert facing off with Will Warren.

Ahead of the matchup with Seattle, catch Josh’s preview of the three-game set. Also, Madison will recap Monday night’s AL action, and Jeff will write the latest entry in the 2000 Yankees diary. And don’t miss Nolan’s recap of the last week on the Yankees farm, which featured plenty to get excited about, like Cam Schlittler’s last outing before getting called up for the first time, more highlights from Spencer Jones, and a wonder day from Everson Pereira.

Today’s Matchup:

New York Yankees vs. Seattle Mariners

Time: 7:05 p.m. EST

TV/Streaming: YES Network, ROOTNW

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM, WADO 1280, WCBS 880

Venue: Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY

Questions/Prompts:

1. Will Cam Schlittler feature heavily down the stretch, or will this likely call-up only represent a brief cameo for the top prospect?

2. Which position do you think the Yankees are most likely to augment between now and the trade deadline?
