Starbucks hosted the inaugural Global Barista Championship in Las Vegas featuring baristas from around the world.
The official start of fall may arrive Sept. 22 with the autumn equinox, but we all know the season really begins with the return of Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, or PSL.
The national chain first released the polarizing pumpkin-flavored beverage in 2003 following the meteoric rise to fame of the coffee giant’s other seasonal beverage, the Peppermint Mocha. The latte has since become a fall staple for many coffee drinkers, and for the last two decades, customers nationwide have eagerly awaited the return of Starbucks’ signature drink.
In previous years, the drink has hit menus at Starbucks around the end of August. But do you need your pumpkin fix sooner? Here’s when Dunkin’, Biggby and other coffee chains are expected to roll out their versions of the PSL this year.
When are Pumpkin Spice Lattes coming back to Starbucks in 2025?
The fall menu, including the Pumpkin Spice Latte, is back at Starbucks starting Aug. 26, according to a press release from the chain shared July 21.
Dunkin’ announced on social media that its fall menu is dropping Aug. 20.
Food blogger markie_devo, who has correctly predicted or leaked new menu items for various food chains across the country, shared a post which stated a list of the fall menu items.
Maple sugar bacon, glazed pumpkin donuts, pumpkin munchkins and pumpkin muffins are expected to return Aug. 20, along with some new fall items, according to the post.
Where else to get pumpkin spice lattes this fall
Pumpkin spice lattes at Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme brought its Pumpkin Spice Season menu back Aug. 11, which includes the Original Glazed Pumpkin Spice Doughnut, Original Glazed Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut, Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Coffee.
Pumpkin Spice Blondie at 7Brew
7Brew, which recently opened a second Greater Cincinnati location, offers a pumpkin-flavored version of its signature Blondie drink. The chain has yet to clarify when the Pumpkin Spice Blondie returns this year, but last year it released Sept. 4.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Biggby
The Michigan-based coffee spot Biggby has yet to announce when it’s bringing a fall menu back, but customers can expect the chain’s Pumpkin Spice Latte, Caramel Apple Cider, Sweet Foam Pumpkin Cold Brew and other signature drinks near the end of August. Last year, the menu dropped Aug. 22.
Pumpkin spice lattes at Wawa
While there’s no official release date for Wawa’s fall menu, customers can expect the chain’s Pumpkin Iced Coffee, Pumpkin Iced Macchiato, Pumpkin Brûlée Iced Latte and other fall drinks around mid-to-late-August. Last year, the menu dropped Aug. 29.
