The partnership between rising WWE stars Giulia and Roxanne Perez appeared to reach an abrupt and bitter end on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, May 12, 2025. This dramatic break up occurred backstage immediately following a tag team loss for the duo.
Perez and Giulia teamed up to face the formidable challenge of current WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and former champion Rhea Ripley. During the match, commentator Michael Cole notably praised both Perez and Giulia, touting them as future cornerstones of the women’s division.
Despite their spirited effort and clear potential, they were ultimately unable to secure a victory against the more established stars. The match concluded when Ripley pinned Giulia after delivering a devastating Riptide, with IYO SKY ensuring Roxanne Perez could not make the save.
Following the loss, WWE social media cameras captured a tense backstage exchange between the two. A visibly frustrated Perez suggested a course of action, stating, “we need to talk to Adam Pearce.”
Giulia, however, displayed clear disdain and immediately shut down any notion of a continued alliance. In a terse and dismissive reply, Giulia stated, “There is no ‘we,'” before giving Perez a disgusted look and walking off, leaving Perez stunned.

This public fracturing is particularly intriguing given the recent WWE paths of both competitors. Roxanne Perez, “The Prodigy,” carved out a significant name for herself in NXT, becoming the inaugural ROH Women’s World Champion (under the NXT banner) and later capturing the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Since the 2025 Royal Rumble, Perez has been a consistent presence on the main roster, frequently appearing on Raw and SmackDown, despite often still being referred to as an NXT talent. This regular exposure built anticipation for her official main roster transition.
Giulia, an acclaimed international Joshi superstar, signed with WWE in late 2024 or early 2025, a move that generated considerable buzz given her decorated career in Japan. She quickly made an impact in NXT and, like Perez, began appearing in prominent main roster segments and matches, showcasing her unique style and intensity.
Many saw the pairing of Perez and Giulia on Raw as a glimpse into WWE’s future, teaming two of its most promising young talents. However, after this decisive on-air split initiated by Giulia, it seems their paths will now diverge, likely leading to a heated singles rivalry. The wrestling world will now watch closely to see this implosion’s fallout.
